Nourish the body. Soothe the soul.
A New Luxury Evening
Numerous restaurants offer fine dining at their place and professional massage therapists maintain offices for appointments, but being able to combine the two in the comfort of one's own home is a brand new experience in the San Antonio, TX area.
The concept of merging these two services has become popular across the country, and is now offered in San Antonio.
What a fabulous gift for the person who has almost everything!
Nourish yourself with a massage and a meal.
How it Works
The therapists bring in their own massage tables, linens, oils, and music, and set up side by side to do simultaneous one-hour massages for the couple. Meanwhile the Chef brings everything from pots and pans, and all of the ingredients he needs to prepare a complete meal.
While the clients have a choice of menu options that can be prepared, a popular meal might include a Caesar Salad prepared tableside followed by Chateaubriand, Chateau Potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Bananas Foster or Crepes Suzette prepared tableside completes the luxury evening.
Chef Bill cooks everything on site, setting the table and plating the meal just as the massages are completed. It's an orchestrated event. The therapists do the mental preparation to be in the zone.
At the end of the massage the therapists pack up and leave quickly. By this time the Chef has finished his preparation and is ready to serve the meal.
Chef Bill discusses meal preferences, in advance, and also asks about kitchen details to know what to expect. The therapists also talk with the clients to determine their expectations, finding out if they've had a massage before and if they prefer a deep-tissue or a relaxation style massage.
The Chef offers two ways to end the perfect evening:
- The Chef is prepared to finish the evening with complete service by staying and serving each course and cleaning the kitchen to leave the couple enjoying the rest of the evening sipping some wine in the commemorative glasses left by the Chef.
- Alternately, the Chef will offer the option of preparing the meal and leaving it for the couple to enjoy with no interruptions. Sometimes there may be an occasion where privacy is another important ingredient to the evening. The commemorative glasses would be filled as the Chefs slips out the back door.
